Biography

Mr. Cooc has over twelve years of experience practicing law in the areas of civil litigation, business dispute, business and real estate transactions, estate planning and dissolution of marriages. Mr. Cooc has successfully tried many cases, including jury and bench trials to favorable verdicts for his clients. In addition, Mr. Cooc has significant amount of experience mediating and arbitrating cases, and arguing law and motions to the Court.

Being multilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Mr. Cooc is ambitious to help individuals and businesses to solve their legal problems. Mr. Cooc grew up as an Asian American in the United States and thus understands the culture experience of Asian Americans in the East Bay. He is here to help all individuals and businesses understand their legal situations and effectively resolve their predicaments.

Mr. Cooc graduated from California State University East Bay (Hayward) and graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco. While graduating from Golden Gate University, Mr. Cooc was awarded a Certificate of Specialization in Litigation with Distinction.

Prior to starting his own practice in 2008, Mr. Cooc has clerked with several small law firms and interned at the Public Defenders' Office in San Francisco. Further, Mr. Cooc was an associate attorney with a Bay Area law firm and a contract attorney with a large Silicon Valley law firm.

Robert C. Keitamo, Esq.

Biography

Mr. Keitamo graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2014. During law school, he was the Technical Editor for the Santa Clara Journal of International Law, executive board member of the SCU National Lawyers Guild, and a founding member of the Family Law Society.

Before joining the Law Offices of Hoa T. Cooc in 2018 as an associate attorney, Mr. Keitamo gained experience as a law clerk, assisting in family law, civil litigation, small business matters, and contract drafting and disputes. As an associate at our firm, he handles a range of civil and family law cases.

Outside of law, Mr. Keitamo has extensive business leadership experience, having served as an operations manager and consultant at a prominent tech startup. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Chico, and is currently earning his Masters in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management.

Dorothea Galdo, J.D.
GRADUATE LAW CLERK

Biography

Ms. Galdo graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Sociology and a minor in English Literature. She lived abroad in Spain and New Zealand before settling in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ms. Galdo earned her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law and graduated with honors.

In law school, Ms. Galdo developed trial and litigation skills and gained a well-rounded perspective into both private and public law sectors. She worked at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, the California Appellate Project – San Francisco (CAPSF), and was a judicial extern for Hon. Magistrate Judge Maria-Elena James and Hon. Judge Stuart Hing. Ms. Galdo also has experience in civil defense litigation.

At the Law Offices of Hoa T. Cooc, Ms. Galdo co-chairs, manages, and defends various civil cases such as, insurance defense, real estate contracts, landlord/tenant disputes, family law, and business litigation. Ms. Galdo engages in developing legal strategy at every stage of litigation, including discovery, pre-trial motion, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Ms. Galdo strives to advocate for her clients, connect individuals with similar interests and goals, and help build networks of community and business.

Ms. Galdo is passionate about community and inclusion. Currently, she is an active member of the Present Purpose Network, a women's philanthropy group focused on creating meaningful solutions to uplift women around the world.
